Yes, this is the same team who has been the doormat of the NFL for almost their entire existence and have been even worse as of late. The Cleveland Browns are still far away from hoisting a Lombardi or even sneaking into the playoffs for that matter, but let’s not overlook their successes.

This offseason has the potential to be a turning point for the franchise who won only 1 game last season, over a Chargers team in turmoil. They brought in priority free agents like G Kevin Zeitler, WR Kenny Britt and CB Jason McCourty while preserving the highest available cap room in the league. Cleveland parlayed that success into the draft as well by acquiring top talents: DE Myles Garrett, DB/LB Jabrill Peppers, TE David Njoku and QB Deshone Kizer.

Sure, all of these additions are instantly becoming the cornerstone of a seemingly barren roster, but this is finally a start for the franchise. The Browns also return studs like Hall of Fame LT Joe Thomas, former All-Pro CB Joe Haden, and LB Jamie Collins. They also traded for QB Brock Osweiler who has reportedly looked very impressive in offseason activities thus far. Remember, Osweiler is only 2 seasons removed from leading the Broncos through the playoffs.

The Cleveland Browns may finally get their shot to be anyone, other than the Cleveland Browns this season and could post 6 wins. Could this be a one and done year, or the start of something great in Cleveland? Only time will tell.
